The Tiny Chest is committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Who We Are
The Tiny Chest operates The Tiny Chest application. We are subject to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What We Collect
Account information: Your first name, last name (optional) and email address. Wardrobe data: Photos you upload and item details including brand, size, type, colour, condition, status and storage location. Usage data: How you interact with the app, collected to improve the service. Device information: Device type and operating system for technical support.
3. How We Use Your Data
To provide and operate The Tiny Chest service. To display your wardrobe catalogue to you. To enhance your photos via PhotoRoom's AI processing service. To improve the application based on usage patterns. We do not sell your personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
4. Photo Processing
Photos you upload are sent to PhotoRoom for AI enhancement. PhotoRoom processes images on our behalf and is contractually bound to handle your data securely. PhotoRoom's privacy policy is available at photoroom.com/privacy.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Uploaded photos are kept in private storage and are accessible only to you through secure, time-limited links.
6. Data Sharing
We share your data only with: Supabase — database and authentication. PhotoRoom — photo enhancement. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers or any other third parties.
7. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you have the right to access, correct and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights contact us through the app at Profile → Support → Contact us.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or delete individual items or boxes, that data is permanently deleted from our systems immediately.
9. Children's Privacy
The Tiny Chest is designed for use by parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. International Users
If you are located outside Australia your data may be transferred to and processed in Australia. By using the service you consent to this transfer.
11. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal session storage to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
12. Analytics
We use PostHog, a third-party product-analytics service, to understand how people use The Tiny Chest so we can improve it. PostHog collects usage and interaction data (such as which screens you visit and actions you take), device and app information (such as app version, operating system, and device type), and an anonymous identifier. This information is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and is not sold. PostHog processes this data on our behalf; you can read PostHog's privacy policy at https://posthog.com/privacy. We use this data solely to analyse and improve the app.
13. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
